Downstream purchases remained relatively weak, and the EMM market continued to operate in a stalemate. [SMM EMM Daily Review]

SMM EMM Daily Review: Downstream Purchases Remain Relatively Weak, EMM Market Stagnant. The average spot price of EMM in the main production areas was 13,300-13,500 yuan/mt, flat MoM. The average FOB price was $1,845-1,875/mt, flat MoM. Supply side, medium and large EMM plants remained reluctant to actively quote, and most EMM plants maintained relatively stable external quotations, with little fluctuation in retail market prices. Demand side, downstream steel mills were cautious in purchasing EMM, with some room for negotiation on actual orders, but overall demand remained relatively weak.
